Hey everyone, I've been looking into Mercer University and I'm confused about its status. Can anyone tell me if Mercer is recognized as an HBCU? Thanks a bunch!
Hello! I understand your confusion, but Mercer University is not an HBCU (Historically Black College and University). HBCUs are institutions that were established before 1964 with the primary mission to educate African American students. Mercer University, founded in 1833, is a private and diverse institution that welcomes students from various backgrounds. I hope this clears up your confusion!
