I'm in a bit of a panic mode because some deadlines have passed, but I really want to attend an HBCU. Does anyone know where I can find a list of HBCUs that are still accepting applications?
No need to panic! Many HBCUs have rolling admissions or later deadlines. A good starting point is to check out the Common Black College Application (CBCA). Through the CBCA, you can apply to multiple member HBCUs with one application. Their site often updates with the colleges' application statuses. Alternatively, you could visit individual HBCU websites or reach out to their admissions offices directly for the most current information. Additionally, there are often lists available on college admissions forums and websites that track college deadlines and may have a section dedicated to HBCUs. One more tip: check out the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) College Openings Update in the spring, which is a list of colleges that still have space available after the traditional May 1 deadline. Best of luck, and remember that there are often opportunities even a bit later in the application cycle!
