How long does it take for colleges to contact me after I've reached out? I'm new to this and I don't know what to expect.

The connections are not super reliable...I have personally chosen not to use them. Based on the generic messages they send, it does not seem like a real person. If you try the connection, I still highly advise going to the college's website and finding contact info for an admissions counselor. Connecting through email, phone, or virtual meetings is probably the most effective way to get connected with the school so you can get your questions answered by the school and express interest directly.
