Hey there!
Collegevine has a direct admissions system if you are a senior. Not sure exactly how it works, but basically colleges can "accept" you without having to fill out an application. Not many colleges are participating in these kinds of programs, so it's not normally worth your time.
Karma can be used for peer essay reviews. Submit an essay and what kind of feedback you would like. I have found it very helpful...just remember that you should take peer opinions/suggestions with a grain of salt. It's your essay and you are not obligated to make every edit they suggest. You need 20-30 Karma for each review, depending on how fast you need the review.
