Should I double major?
I鈥檓 planning on working in the medical field. Specifically, working at a psychiatric hospital. But, my whole life I have had a passion for musical theatre. I feel like musical theatre is a lot less sustainable, and it鈥檚 not guaranteed that I will make good money. I would still love to pursue theatre, but I鈥檓 not sure if I should. I feel it would be extremely difficult to double major in pre-med and the performing arts, especially considering how much time is put into med school. Though, if I did double major, I would be pursuing both career paths and if one turns out to be unsustainable I still have another option.
Any suggestions?
Have you considered doing a major in pre-med and a minor in music? It would likely require much less than double majoring. It would be awesome to double major, but it sounds quite difficult. I would consider it carefully.
