What is something you wish someone told you before you went to college?

A lot of my friends are getting close to going to college and are nervous about what to expect. Any advice about student life, finances, classes, admissions, or literally anything else you wish you knew before you went to college would be super helpful.

- Your career will work out no matter how long it takes to become set on a direction. Still, it makes things a lot easier to put your foot down on one field by junior year!

- Try becoming active in a religious or philosophical community. That is where you will find deep fulfillment.

- Explore as many extracurriculars as possible, especially the ones outside your comfort zone.

- Don't worry about making lots of friends. All you need is a few good friends for life - people who will be there for you through thick and thin.

- Dating is best when taken seriously, and with long-term intentions.

- Go to office hours and ask questions that go beyond the scope of the classroom. Build relationships with professors, and they may give you research opportunities, jobs, and inspiration for your life direction.

Hope this helps!
