When should i fill out the FAFSA?Answered
I am currently a Junior in High School and i was wondering do i need to wait to fill out the FAFSA? Or would it be good to get started on it now?

FAFSA opens on October 1st each year. You鈥檒l fill it out during your senior year (this fall of 2021) before it closes on May 1, 2022 (for you). There is no point in filling it out now, as you are not eligible because you aren鈥檛 going to be in college for the 2021-2022 school year. You can start collecting the needed information, however, but you can鈥檛 put it into the FAFSA webpage yet.
Make sure to fill it out as soon as possible to ensure you get as much financial aid as you are eligible for. When FAFSA opened during my senior year, my friends and I all filled it out within a couple of days. Some schools give awards based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
